TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (FTN) – A Terre Haute mom says she dug for LEGO parts for over 15 minutes at a local children’s museum to build her son the perfect car…only for him to quickly destroy it.
It happened last week at the Terre Haute Children’s Museum.
Three-year-old Alex’s Essex’s mom, Ami, dug through a bin of mismatched LEGO pieces to build the perfect vehicle.
“They have a little ramp to race them down…and Alex loves airplanes, so I built him a car with wings…and a tail,” Ami said.
She told us her husband Chris was distracting Alex, giving her the chance to build it without interruption.
“I was so excited when I gave it to him…I was already on my way to the ramp,” Ami told us.
That is when she says things took a turn for the worse.
“He ripped the wings off as soon as I gave them to him. He just wanted the wings,” Ami said.
She told us a truck Chris built for Alex our of mismatched pieces stayed in tact.
Alex didn’t even seem to remember the incident when we asked him.
“Scared of Museum sounds…big Dino,” Alex said.
He did not face any timeout in the incident.
