TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (FTN) – A local toy is dead after a lunch time incident.
It happened Sunday afternoon in southern Vigo County.
The toy was identified as five-month-old Anna.
According to parents on the scene, the incident happened when three-year-old Alex Essex was trying to stick the toy’s head through the round part of a curly fry.
That led to Anna being decapitated.
Alex received the toy just before Christmas as part of a set of Frozen characters, including Elsa, Olaf, and Kristof.
Parents say they immediately hid the toy from Alex, and then disposed of her the first chance they had.
“It was kind of sad. I never like to see a toy die. But I didn’t see any ill intent. He wasn’t out to hurt the toy,” Alex’s dad Chris said,
Alex is not expected to face any time-out time of the incident.
