TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (FTN) – Rain rain go away or keep it here to stay?
A Terre Haute two-year-old spent Tuesday morning splashing his cares away.
Alexander Essex and his father Chris started their rainy outdoor adventure around 11:00 a.m.
“I put on his rain boots and got excited to let him splash through puddles,” Chris said.
But Chris said he wasn’t ready for what happened next.
“He kissed the water.”
He bent down face first into a puddle.
“I was down for the splashing. I thought we would have some wet socks…they were dry by the way…I thought maybe a wet but if he fell…but a wet dirty face?” Chris said.
Chris said his toddler just loves to explore, experiencing life face first.
“He is curious, and I love that…but sometimes it can be messy,” Chris told us.
It was directly to the bath for Alex after his late morning journey to the rain-soaked playground.
Chris says Alex loves the bath, so that wasn’t a problem.
