COLUMBIAVILLE, Mich. (FTN) – Police in Michigan responded to a Columbiaville home after reports of a domestic situation.
It happened just before 3:00 a.m. Sunday.
Witnesses told police they heard a toddler begin to cry.
That toddler was later identified as three-year-old Donald Smith.
Police quickly arrived on the season.
After an investigation officers say they learned Donald’s “Paw-Patrol” blanket had been stolen.
Police say Donald’s younger brother, Lars had possession of the blanket.
“I don’t know why he would steal it. He already has one just like it,” Lesley, the kid’s mother said. “Maybe he was just cold. I don’t know. A mother always wants to see the best in their children.”
Donald decided not to press charges.
